Our teachers are qualified and registered teachers. They are passionate, caring and respectful. Plum Tree Preschool provides a safe and secure home away from home. We believe strong parent teacher partnerships form the foundations for quality early childhood education. At Plum Tree, we place focus on children having awareness of where they come from and the community in which they live. We involve children in the running of the programme and empower them to make their own choices, make discoveries and share ideas. Kate Olsen - Centre Manager
Kate (Qualified and Registered ECE teacher) Centre Manager - Tui room 3-5yrs
Kate's background has been in ECE from an early age. Her interests include gardening, yoga, netball and spending time with her large extended family.
She is committed to creating sustainable practices and supporting children to care and respect their environment by trying to reduce their carbon footprint. Giving children opportunities to learn about the living world through gardening and bush walks allows children to investigate, explore and learn about the living world and how to care for it. Her passion lyes in including children in the running of the programme, empowering them to make their own choices, make discoveries and share ideas.
